What are the twelve nights of Christmas?
The twelve nights of Christmas are 12 holy nights on which the gates to other worlds are opened. They are dated shortly before the turn of the year, to be exact, from the 25th of December to the 6th of January.
In these nights many customs and rituals are carried out to prepare for the coming year, to get strength from guardian angels, to receive messages and to drive away darkness.
Apart from the spiritual woowoo, it is also simply a time to reflect on the past year and plan the coming one.
I would like to guide you through the ritual that I have adapted since last year.
What do you need?
So that you don’t have to run errands at the last minute, the blog post is already coming so that you’ll have everything ready by the time it’s time.
You need:
– White sage or other incense like lavender, cedar, etc.
– a fireproof bowl or plate
– candle
– a nice scarf
– paper for the wishes
– notebook and pens
– Photo/Card
– Oracle cards (optional)
– matches

Incense Smoking
First the room and meditation place must be cleaned. This is done through the white sage.
Of course you can also use other things like sound bowls if you have them at home.
You do this every day from the 25th to the 6th and in the winter solstice, which is also the beginning of the whole ritual.
Winter Solstice
In the night from 21st to 22nd December the winter solstice takes place, where you can let go of everything you don’t want to take with you into the new year.
You write down on a piece of paper everything that no longer serves you, fears, worries, anger, frustration, illness, etc.. Also what you are afraid of next year.
Then you burn the piece of paper on the fireproof plate outside and symbolize to the powers that you are ready to let them go and ask them to help you.
Trust in the changes that are coming now, trust in your own strength and the help that is provided to you.
Watch the fire attentively as it makes everything you fear fall to ashes.
Then write down your goals, wishes and dreams on small pieces of paper, one wish per piece of paper, fold them up and put them in the bowl that you cover with the cloth.
You need at least 13.
Twelve Nights of Christmas
On the 25.12. you start with the meditations, one per day/night.
First you clean the room and place again with sage.
You light the candle and, if you have, an incense stick and connect to the other world, the source of light.
Ask for messages and protection. And meditate by either doing a guided meditation or meditating silently for yourself.
If you want a great meditation, I strongly recommend you to join my Facebook group, there are some goodies soon and most of all you have company going through these phases with you.
In any case concentrate on the open gates, on the golden light and ask your guardian angel to stand behind you and take care of you and only let in the messages filled with light energy.
At the end of the meditation you pull a note out of your wish bowl with closed eyes, write on it the number for the respective month and write in your notebook the date and the month, which messages, pictures, symbols you received in the meditation, which dreams you had the previous night and what else you notice during the course of the day.
Then glue the note to it.
You can now also draw one or more oracle cards to learn more about that month.
You do this daily until January 6th, 2020.
Only at the end, i.e. after 6 January, may you either look at the wishes or burn them.
End of the Twelve Nights of Christmas
The last day, January 6th, is a little different.
You then draw the 13th note. This is the wish you are responsible for fulfilling on your own.
And if you have more left, you burn them.
These desires are not lost, but will play a role under the domination of the other desires.
You meditate again, thank for the support and ask for the fulfillment of all your wishes.
Now you may open the desires if you wish and align them with your notes.
