if you are just a tiny bit like me, you have set yourself some big goals for this year.
And big goals require a change of personality and habits, not just clarity on the goals you want to achieve.
Which made me think of the importance of a morning routine and switching mine up too cater to my current needs.
If you are interested in watching my previous one, I made a youtube video about it a while back, but it isn’t my current one as I’m always adapting it to what I need.
WHAT I’LL IMPROVE
My current morning routine is super long. It takes an hour, but not an hour full of very life-changing things.
For example, I have been committing to doing a 20-minute money meditation for 90 days, but I feel that’s too long and once the 90 days are over, which is soon, I switch back to 5 minute meditations.
I read a scientific publication that even within a 15-20 minute meditation, people normally only stay in a deeply meditative state for 1-2 minutes.
And I struggle meditating for too long anyways.
Besides this, I’m going to include morning pages and make this the first thing after drinking water, because I use meditations online and I want to feel absolutely centred and with my highest self.
And that’s not going to happen doing them after meditation and using my phone.
And the 3rd and last thing I want to change is…*DRUMROLL*
Wake up at 6:30 for starters and eventually at 5:30.
Because out of experience, all things that have anything to do with client feedback, community management and all tasks involving other people kind of make me lose focus of my other to-do’s.
Also it feels so good to have accomplished a lot of things before midday and I can have a seemingly shorter work day as I normally work in the late evening til midnight.
I want to separate private life and business life further and give myself the opportunity to get more structure.
That’s also basically the only thing I learned from being in school.
Externally set timelines were easy for me to hold.
So, I gotta treat myself as my boss and employee at the same time.
And on one last note, I will pretend going to work, because sitting in my pj’s all day (not always, but happens too often) is not getting me into a state of mind that screams WORK 😀
So, that’s what I’m going to change within my morning routine to make sure, I’ll smash all of my goals for 2020.
