Hey Lightsquad,
if you have read my vision board blogpost, you know, I do quite a lot to preplan my year.
For this year, I have set 4 big goals and I’m absolutely pumped to tell you:
Goal #1 is officially manifested!
My goal #1 was to move out and have a beautiful flat in which I can selfmanage my time and live independently to anyone, so I can work on and stick to my personal schedule.
Not even this, I have literally set myself a deadline, the end of the first quarter 😀
And let me tell you in detail how I manifested it.
THE MANIFESTATION PROCESS
First of all, like I said, I prepped this year already at the end of last year.
For that, I enrolled in Diana Delo’s NYM Coaching and did the ‘Twelve Nights of Christmas Ritual’ from the year before.
Besides that I created a big ass vision board and enrolled in other coaching programs as well to uplevel my business.
The first quarter of 2020, especially January and February, I concentrated on my courses and building up my income streams.
And I roughly planned to look at flats at the end of February.
There came the end of February and I started casually looking for some spaces and thought I found my dream flat, but turns out I was catfished 😀
On this note, everyone, literally everyone at least once in a lifetime through this exact pattern.
You are almost there, your dream is in your reach and then all goes to shit.
This my dear, is the moment, the universe tests how badly you want your dream, because if it really is your big dream, you won’t let that make you give up on it!!!
Anyways, I continues to look and found my dream flat.
Uber central, 2 rooms, a bathtub, on the 2nd floor, a kitchen with 4 cooking plates within a budget of 600€.
Ok, technically it’s 40€ above the budget I set, but what’s better. A fully equipped flat, a million miles prettier than ANYTHING with in that particular market or a not fully finished flat where you got to install a whole kitchen for at least 5000€?
Easy decision if you ask me 😀
Now, I know, you probably think, well how hard can it be to find a flat fast?
Well, all of my friends, except one told me it’s a VERRRY competitive market and you gotta look months in advance.
They thought I was crazy when I said, I will be like my one friend who moved within 2 weeks.
I‘m sure of it.
Let’s move to the actual viewing and manifestation of the flat.
I mailed like 30 landlords, but only one with the conviction that this flat was really up my alley.
You guess, correctly, the one I got.
And not only this, I got a reply within a minute.
I kid you not.
2 days later (the 4th day of actually looking for flats) I was viewing my now home.
Upon arriving there, other people where waiting to look at it too.
So, I was there, my parents too and 2 other people, just on my appointment.
I looked at the whole space, really contently knowing, I want this, like really bad.
The moment I knew I would, was when I enthusiastically opened a cabinet for spices to stack in.
I was so so so happy about such a simple thing.
We chatted to the real estate agent and he mailed me the paperwork already while I was still there.
The next day, I got the call.
‘I will only proceed to give your application to the landlord. I really saw how much you liked the flat. You can stop viewing other apartments. In 99% of the times, the people I recommend get the apartment.”
And I was totally out of it. Here I was, a day after the viewing, with a contract almost being promised to me.
PATIENCE IS HARD SOMETIMES
After that I only viewed one other flat, I saw the second one on the same day and the last was the first appointment I got.
And I thought, it never hurts to look.
Turns out, the last flat was more spacious, had everything I originally cared about, but also came with some unpleasantries.
So, that one was out.
I went on holiday directly after, you can read about it HERE 🙂
And I was waiting for a call, for a heads up, trying not to f*** up my manifestation through pressuring it too much.
And on Wednesday, in the middle of Nika‘s birthday, I got the message, the contract was in my mail.
And the week later I got my keys, already having planned my apartment and planned furniture.
And then, Corona shut down…
REMEMBER TO BE RESOURCEFUL
You remember from earlier, difficulties come your way and test how much you want something.
Well, I wanted it bad.
So instead of moping around, I decided to weigh my options.
Delivery was taking top long, that info was given to us from the employees at Ikea personally.
The stores themselves were closed.
So, I scrolled through Facebook and Instagram looking for tips and any kind of hope to receive furniture earlier than at least a month from now.
And there someone asked about Click&Collect.
‘What is that?‘ I thought and googled.
Turns out, a pick up service where you order online and Ikea employees put the order together and you collect it at a specific time frame you choose.
Tried that out, but my Ikea only gave me an error note.
Still not giving up at that point, but googling every Ikea in proximity, trying to order and, yaaas, Ikea Essen can put my order together at the same day!
Rented a car, drove there, and the result is a happy Nirina with furniture to build while the quarantine lasts.
All the hiccups, all the challenges, (never problems, just challenges).
And I could tell you, what feels like a million examples, how to move at this exact time, should be the most complicated and impossible project, but we are making it work.
Now enough to the way I manifested my flat.
Let’s talk about something actually valuable to you when you are moving.
A moving guide.
All the stuff you have to think about.
MOVING GUIDE
While I write this blogpost, I still do this from home, as we are still in the moving in process, but I will take less than 10 days in total from the moment I got my keys to actually living there.
Don’t believe me?
Well, track it on @vam_po on IG 🙂
I just want to mention it, as I will update the blogpost going through the pre and post moving process responsibilities at the correct time!
PRE-MOVING
Besides the spiritual prep, the actual looking for flats should be done with precision.
Questions that help you determine this:
- Which part of the city/place I want to live in? – I knew exactly which parts I wanted/not wanted to move to. Think about distance to the city centre, public transport options, nearby schools, cafés, restaurants, shopping opportunities.
- How much space to I need? How many rooms? – I wanted 2 rooms to be able to separate sleep and work/living. My sleep/work patterns were so bad, I actually sit on the floor with my laptop on my bed, because there’s no other option #makingthebestoutofmylimitations
- What appliances do you need? – Washing machine, kitchen, terrace, balcony, room in basement?
- Which floor? Elevator on high floors?
- Permanent parking space?
- Your desired move in date?
- Enough money to cover approx. 3 months of rent and furniture etc.?
Just a few starters.
MOVING
- Paint walls
- Bathroom renovation – we had to put new silicone into the mouldy corners as the renters before didn’t treat it too well.
- Clean everything – this alone took so much time – 3 hours the bathroom, 5 hours the kitchen, 1 hour the windows, floors and 30 minutes drying, dishes etc. 4 hours
- Build furniture – We almost bought everything new as I had sold or given away almost everything from my first apartment. I will do a whole apartment tour with all the furniture I bought soon!
- Move appliances, clothes and all of your stuff.

Like I said, I will update this post as I go through the stages, so bear with me.
Now, I gotta go back and get my flat ready to move in.
What you can do now is tell me, when have you move last and what were you most excited about?
What is one thing I can’t miss having in my flat?
See you next week.
Until then,
Shine your light!
