DigestZen by Doterra is an essential oil blend.
You might have come across essential oils while having a massage. But did you essential oils can be used in 4 different ways?
They can be used aromatically, topically, internally and without dilution. Well, that’s not quite correct. You have to make sure, the essential oil is safe to be ingested. I just wanted to make you realise the possibilities of essential oils.
Today, I want to talk a little bit about a special essential oil blend from Doterra.
DigestZen is a digestive blend and supposed to aid in digestion of food, reduce metabolites and bloating and relax stomach muscles, therefore soothing stomach upsets.DigestZen is 100% natural and consists of Ginger Rhizome/Root, Peppermint Plant, Caraway Seed, Coriander Seed, Anise Seed, Tarragon Plant, and Fennel Seed essential oils.
I could simply rewrite the information provided by Doterra, but I don’t see the point, because I couldn’t sum it up better. So, this was just a quick overview.
I want to talk about my personal experiences with DigestZen.
DigestZen – a cure for gastritis?
While researching I stumbled across two or three people feeling amazing relief using DigestZen for as little as 3 days. After 3 months of taking DigestZen almost all digestive issues subsided and a normal life could be lead again.
I believe in the power of nature, so I thought, what’s the harm? I quickly bought a little bottle and started taking it once per day. My dosage was only one drop diluted in a cup of water with a little bit of coconut oil.
The smell of only one drop was immense and I won’t lie, the taste is really strong, kind of spicy, minty, herby. But not bad at all.
I was scared I couldn’t stomach it, because ginger and peppermint can be irritating. To my surprise, even the first use calmed my digestive track down and soothed my mind.
From then on I upped my dosage the following days until taking 2 drops diluted in warm water with half a teaspoon of coconut oil, 2 times a day. After about two weeks, my digestion got better, I didn’t feel that gassy anymore, but my burning stomach sensation stayed.
So, it’s a NO for directly curing gastritis.
Why I love DigestZen and recommend it wholeheartedly
Ok, you might wonder. I just said, DigestZen doesn’t cure gastritis. So why am I still loving it.Listen it might not cure gastritis, but it brings a whole lot of relief.
I changed my approach. I tried reducing my dosage again, after 2 months and now apply it topically when experiencing bloating or any kind of strong stomach discomfort or pain. And I swear, it works perfectly.
After 30 minutes, the bloating starts to subside, I feel more balanced, less nauseous and soothed.
There are 4 types of DigestZen products in the Doterra catalogue. The essential oil blend in a bottle, softgels, a roll-on, and capsules(with added digestive enzymes). These are all stated to be vegetarian, even vegan(please make sure to check again before purchasing), non gmo and gluten-free.
I’m super happy I tried DigestZen and maybe it could help you, too. A little tip: Even though the roll-on only has 9 ml compared to the 15 ml bottle, it’s slightly cheaper. So, if you want to use it topically, the roll-on is not only the better choice, because of the ease of application.
